The ISAC Listserv

COMING SOON

The purpose of the ISAC Group (ISAC-G) is to enhance the quality of Islamic schools and educators by providing a listserv for communication. To maintain a professional environment, the ISAC-G requires all posts to be education-related, and off-topic posts are not allowed. The guidelines are subject to change, and updates will be posted on the mailing list and website.

The ISAC-G encourages respectful communication, even in cases of disagreement, with appropriate Islamic manners (adab). Job openings from ISAC Member Schools can be advertised on the ISAC-G, and non-member schools must contact the ISAC to inquire about advertising job openings. Posts advertising services or products are not permitted unless the business becomes a Corporate Member of the ISAC. Individuals may not post resumes on the ISAC-G, but announcements regarding school or student accomplishments are allowed.

Discussions on the ISAC-G should only relate to education-related topics. While the forum allows questions on how to implement religious curricular decisions, no single religious perspective will be favored, endorsed, or imposed upon others. Personal questions about Islamic law (fiqh) should be referred to a religious scholar.

The ISAC-G does not permit the forwarding of emails. Instead, relevant information should be copied and pasted into a new email with an introduction indicating its relevance to education. Hate speech is not allowed, and the use of ISAC-G email addresses for any other purpose, such as sharing with other entities, is prohibited.

The ISAC appreciates adherence to these guidelines, and subscribers who violate them may be removed from the listserv without prior notice.
