School Accreditation

The Islamic Schools Association of Canada (ISAC) is proud to partner with the Council of Islamic Schools in North America (CISNA) to offer a school accreditation service for ISAC member Islamic schools nationwide. Accreditation is an important step for Islamic schools to demonstrate their commitment to quality education and to meet recognized standards of educational excellence.

Accreditation provides schools with a framework for continuous improvement and assures parents that their children are receiving a valuable education in a safe and nurturing environment. At ISAC, we believe that school accreditation is a critical step in promoting Islamic education and we encourage all Islamic schools to consider pursuing accreditation.

CISNA is the largest member organization of accredited Islamic schools in the world. CISNA Accreditation provides a means to review and evaluate all aspects of a school’s program with an Islamic lens. The accreditation process is based on rigorous standards and measures a school’s progress towards continuous improvement. CISNA began providing accreditation services in 2012.

CISNA is the lead accreditor in a partnership with Cognia, an international agency accrediting schools in 90 countries! ISAC schools can now apply for accreditation with CISNA and receive dual accreditation with COGNIA.
